| TBS Rods have a simple Idea in mind? Make a high quality,
light weight sensitive rod, put it in the hands of an angler,
and really have a tool that is a personalized custom work
of art, and is what it say's it is! Not some desk jockey
who fishes four times a year! TBS RODS are totally functional,
to make long pinpoint accurate casts with sensitivity and
hooksets that get the job done....Period!!
Designed by Capt. Tony Bozzella, a hard core angler and
full time guide with many fishing credits to his name, has
put this concept together. This is accomplished by choosing
the correct blank, proper number, size, and spacing of the
guides on a spined blank and methodically built one at a
time. With close attention to detail, Capt. Terry Sturgeon
does just that, crafts them one by one. Every rod is spun
to find the correct "lay" of the bend then, spined
for proper spacing of the guides in relation to the action
of that particular blank. This allows the line to contour
the bend of the blank, under the fight of a big fish, and
never break or stress your line using proper drag. (15-20%
of the lines breaking strength. Example: 20lb line should
use about 3-4lbs of drag) All TBS RODS come with SS304 guides
which eliminates the problems with "standard"
guides that feature ceramic inserts set into a metal frame.
Problem with aluminum oxide or SiC insert guides is that
the rings have to be glued into the frame. Hard-core angling
or heavy use can cause the inserts to be knocked out, cracked,
or broken. The SS304 guides have hard chrome plated stainless-steel
rings in the guide frame. The stainless-steel ring is formed
around the guide frame after it is inserted, so it can't
be knocked out. Proper gluing over the wraps for each and
every eye, ensuring that the glue has been distributed down
the shaft of the eye, where it meets the blank, sealing
it from salt water. Many times this is not recognized by
the consumer, and with in a few months of use the eyes become
weak or even come off from saltwater penetration.

Testimonials:
Captain Tony,
The TBS 7' (med / hvy) spinning rod is the perfect rod for
Fla. inshore fishing. These rods are definitely capable
of handling large game fish. The light weight and short
butt section makes it easy to spend hours throwing artificial
lures. Terry did a really fine job with the custom wraps
and craftsmanship. The personalization with customers name
and favorite species is a nice feature! Thanks for a great
rod, it will be a part of all my fishing trips!
Joe Williams / Avid Angler

perform!! You won't be disappointed."
